A very brief description of me in YWAM Perth

YWAM Perth Monday morning base worship


A quick highlights of what i have been up to the past three months since my Nepal trip. I am with Youth With A Mission Perth serving in the ministry call INC (Indonesia, Nepal, China) where we mobilize Indonesian and Chinese missionaries to GO and bring transformation and God's Kingdom into Nepal.

I am also helping out with Pre-school in the base, babysitting and also helping out with Art Refuge every saturday, where we go and do some art works with the homeless people. For the past three months, i did a seminar call Strategic Coordinator where we learn church planting, apostolic, advocacy, media, strategies in reaching out to our people groups. God really spoke to me here the importance of strategies as key that unlock nations, communities, family.



As part of Youth With A Mission staff, our commitment to the base is not a working commitment but is a lifestyle, a family and also a community living commitment and also because we have more than 300 to 400 people living in the base so we are requires to do cleaning chores everyday at 8am, intercession 3/4 times a week, dishwashing, lunch or dinner prep, etc..

God has call me to equip myself more for INC Vision, so I am now doing a Foundation Community School this coming July 6th 2009 where we have 3months lecture phase learning worldview and how to bring transformation, God's Kingdom and reconciliation into all the spheres of societies. (Family, Religion, Healthcare, Media Art, Economy, Government, Education). And another 3months outreach into the fields, where we will go to Papua New Guinea as the Prime minister of Papua New Guinea has invited YWAM Perth to go into PNG to transform the nation after reading Loren's Cunningham's book, "The book that transform Nations". So we will be involves with doing lots of community developments.

GOD of This City

For my previous trip to Thailand. God has impressed in my heart since last year to make a train trip down to Thailand apart from a retreat with Him, was to intercede for the prostitutes and this train trip incident actually I believe God allowed it to happened for me to intercede for them, yes I interceded for them and eventhough I felt real compassion and sorry for the prostitute but I was so angry at that old white man. I asked for forgiveness from God for that. As I watched Bluetree video, I really feel God's heart for Thailand, His people, the prostitutes and those men.

I really love this song. After I heard it at the Passion, Kuala Lumpur few days ago this song has been kept playing in my mind. Is a Very Powerful Song!! I'll definitely sing this song to every country that I go and Proclaim God over that nation and city!

Origins of "God of this City" by Bluetree.

Nov 2006, Bluetree are heading out to Pattaya Thailand to participate in an event arranged by Belfast missionaries living in Pattaya, Thailand called Pattaya Praise. We've no expectation of the event; we were just looking for an opportunity to serve somehow.

We didn't know much about it before we left, but Pattaya is a dark place. It's a small seaside town notorious for it's sex trade. Throughout our time there we heard countless stories of girls who are bought from their parents for a price, sold to the sex industry at ages as young as 5 years old. Arriving in Pattaya the spiritual climate seems to change, it's hard to define, but there is a very tangible change. On the bus journey in we'd been our usual cheery selves, but entering Pattaya at 10am and turning on to a street lined by girls ready for business, the bus became very quiet. We're in total shock. It's a sunny day but it's incredible how dark it feels.

'Walking street' we learn is the epicentre of the sex trade in Pattaya, it's about a mile long and at night springs to life with neon signs. Thai people are generally conservative in their dress sense -- it's generally considered provocative to bare your shoulders. But on their street the girls are wearing very little, and offering anything you can imagine for a price. It's easy to look around with human eyes, see the depravity and get angry. You see older men walking hand-in-hand with young girls -- as a daddy, that's hard to take in. It's easy to get angry, it's easy to judge -- but that's not our job, so we grit our teeth.

We were in Pattaya to be part of a praise event not far from this street, the soul purpose of which was to worship and show God's light in a dark place. We wanted to play more than the scheduled slots while we were there, so we found out that one of the bar owners would let us play a worship set in her bar on the proviso that we brought as many from the missions team who would buy coke-a-cola all night. We walk in to the bar which is about the middle of walking street, girls are lined up on the stairs waiting for business. We get set up, we're really nervous and quite uncomfortable but we kick in to a familiar beat of worship and soon it's ok. God starts to speak and we started to move in to this spontaneous song. The truth is when you worship in a place, you start to see God's heart for that place. What would God say to a place like this?

Amidst the depravity God say's, I'm the God of this City, I'm the King of these people and Greater Thing are Yet to Come, Greater Things are Still to be Done HERE. The song wasn't written before that night, but we came out of the bar having worshipped with the song that is now the title track of our album -- God of this City (Greater things). The song isn't just for Pattaya -- it's for your city, and it's true. By faith we must expect that greater things are still to be done.

GOD is my PASSION

Yesterday was amazing! First I attended SIB service with Pastor Paul Ang preaching. He spoke about salvation is free but after that everything cost. That is picking up the cross but His yoke is light to carried. God really spoke to me through his message about surrendering to God. I knew what God wanted me to surrender so I went out to the altar again and surrendered my "Isaiac" to Him. Eventhough it was a very special moment with God but my heart are still in pain, I didn't have much time to process but to changed gear to PASSION!

We waited for almost 4 hours for the worship session to start but I didn't feel that long at all maybe because I was accompanied by my wonderful and crazy friends, Celine and Veron that makes me laugh most of the time trying to come out with different kinds of strategies on how to get a front seats. We waited for more than an hour and when the door was open we actually literally ran in. And you can imagine me kept running and laughing the same time. It was crazy and hilarious at the same time. I absolutely love it!

We got the center seats on the second row. I was so excited! Honestly admit eversince I was in YWAM Perth base worshipping God with Chris Tomlin songs, he has become one of my favourite singer. But truly he wasn't the main reason I was excited about tonight. I was excited about the long hours of worshipping God with the songs I always sang to Him, songs that touch my heart and makes me cry. Now I can worship GOD, the ONE MY HEART LOVES with the songs I loved to sing to Him with those who composes it and together with my dearly love friends, Celine and Veron.

I was sitting right in front, but soon the altar was filled with people including my friends and I. I was then standing right in front of Chris Tomlin and the loud speaker. As we are worshipping God right in front at the altar I couldn't help but imagine how beautiful and awesome it is to worship the King of Kings, the One I've been waited for all my life and together with multitudes of people from different tongues, nations and tribes. It was incredible. I feel it was like a little treat from God to me. To encourage me to go on following Him, knowing there is great rewards awaiting for me. I want to worship Jesus Christ right down at His feet. I want to be RIGHT IN FRONT of JESUS worshipping Him, The King of Glory!

Jesus is my Passion!
